Leading up to Thanksgiving we, SERVPRO® of Tigard/Tualatin will be sharing a safety tip to ensure you and your family and friends enjoy a safe holiday. Each November, families gather to celebrate Thanksgiving by preparing a delicious feast, but if you do not practice safe cooking habits, your happy holiday could become hazardous very quickly. According to the National Fire Protection Association, cooking is the main cause of home fires and injuries, with Thanksgiving being the peak day for cooking related fires. When cooking never leave cooking food unattended. Stay in the kitchen when frying, grilling or broiling food. If someone must leave the kitchen for even a short period of time, you should turn the stove off. SERVPRO® of Tigard/Tualatin have been serving the community since 1991.
