Spring Break Safety Tips
3/25/2019 (Permalink)
Spring Break in Oregon is rarely dry. If you are going to venture out you have to make sure you have a backup plan depending on how much rain we are getting in. Don’t forget to also make a plan on how to keep your home and property safe while you are away.
Follow these easy steps to help you have peace of mind and a real break over Spring Break.
- Keep valuables away from windows
- Set up times lights around your house
- Have a neighbor watch your house
- Turn your home phone ringer off
- Don’t announce your upcoming vacation on social media
It is important to have someone watch and check your home not just for the potential break-in and robberies but in the instance of a pipe break or a leak. We often get calls from people who have just returned home from a trip to find their home flooded and a disaster. We highly suggest having someone check in on your home and know who to call for various emergencies.
